My first trip to California and Point Reyes National Seashore was in 2013 for an Americorps internship with the Watershed Stewards Program. After seeing my first sunset from the Lighthouse observation deck, I was hooked and have been here ever since. I am now the field crew lead for the Coho and Steelhead Monitoring Program which involves the collection and analysis of data from our local streams. My love for fish and the natural world began at an early age in my home state of North Carolina while camping and fly fishing on the doorstep of the Appalachian Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.Sc. in environmental sciences and worked briefly in the environmental consulting world before moving here to focus on watershed sciences and conservation biology. I feel very fortunate to be part of such a great team and hope our work leads to a rebound in native salmonid populations.
