Salary
$63.00 per day; 9 week position; room & board provided (weekend housing included)

Brief Description of Duties
The primary functions of this position are to assist with guided natural history and environmental education programs, meal time supervision, free time activities, and cabin supervision for children attending Point Reyes Science Camp. This is a residential, weekday environmental education camp for children ages 7-16.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications
1) Strong leader, impeccable role model.
2) Experience working with and supervising children.
3) Some background in natural science, environmental education and/or summer camp programs.
4) Ability to carry 50 pound backpack up to 8 miles per day over rugged terrain.
5) Enthusiasm about living and working in Point Reyes National Seashore.
6) Clean driving record and willingness to obtain a class B driver’s license.
7) Before camp begins: Must possess current first aid and CPR (adult & child) certifications.
8) Empathy, confidence, flexibility, creativity, sense of humor.

Background Information
The Clem Miller Environmental Education Center, home of Point Reyes Summer Camp, is nestled in a coastal valley two miles from Limantour beach.  Our summer camp program for children focuses on the natural history of Point Reyes National Seashore.
