Brief Description of Duties
Lead all facets of meal planning, preparation and delivery for 70 people at a residential environmental education camp for children including menu planning (including vegetarian options), shopping, cooking, baking, and cleaning. Supervise 2 kitchen assistants.
Summary of Qualifications
1) Flexible, responsible, team-oriented, kid-friendly.
2) Experience with food service for large groups. Camp experience a plus.
3) Able to do considerable daily physical work; able to lift 50 pounds.
4) Enthusiastic about living and working in Point Reyes National Seashore.
5) Clean driving record.
6) Before camp begins: Must have standard first aid, CPR, and food handling certificates.
Background Information
The Clem Miller Environmental Education Center, home of Point Reyes Summer Camp, is nestled in a coastal valley two miles from Limantour beach. Our summer camp program for children, ages 7 to 16, focuses on the natural history of Point Reyes National Seashore.
