Grants Manager

Inspired by his first overnight camping trip at Coast Camp in Point Reyes National Seashore more than 30 years ago, Rick went on to explore remote natural locations throughout the world including the Tibetan Plateau, Amazon, Himalayas, Andes and Patagonia, among other wild places. He now finds himself in the same place where his love of nature began, bringing with him ten years of experience in non-profit management, special events fundraising, grant writing, and public relations. A craftsperson with an eye on sustainability, Rick started a woodshop using only salvaged materials and helped build a one-of-a-kind sail boat for a National Geographic Expedition made completely from recycled and reengineered materials. He’s passionate about the arts and humanities, and inspired by large groups of people working for the common good.
