Leslie

Adler-Ivanbrook
Science at the Seashore Program Manager

Having relocated to Point Reyes in 2006 from east coast suburbia, Leslie feels very blessed to live and work in one of the most beautiful places on earth, in a wonderful community of people. Leslie brings over 25 years of experience to her work with PRNSA, including coastal development permitting on the state level, applied marine science research and environmental science education. After working with NPS on the Giacomini Wetland restoration in 2007, Leslie wanted to bring the excitement of field science to young people. She began designing and leading experiential field trips for local students, featuring the newly restored Giacomini Wetlands as an outdoor study site. Over subsequent years, Science at the Seashore field trip programming expanded to include school groups from around the Bay Area and beyond, bringing students into Point Reyes watersheds, estuaries, and beaches. Leslie holds a B.A. in Environment, Technology and Society from Clark University and an M.S. in Marine Science from SUNY at Stony Brook.
