Jessica's first love of the outdoors came as a young child in Illinois where she spent whole days playing outside, collecting fireflies, riding bikes and tilling the soil in her Grandma’s backyard. Later, family camping trips fueled her desire to find a career in the outdoors. After working with the Youth Conservation Corp for three summers in Yosemite National Park, she had the opportunity to join the National Park Service staff at Point Reyes National Seashore as an Interpretive Ranger, providing tours at the lighthouse and helping visitors connect with the park. After several years of seasonal work at Point Reyes, Jessica joined PRNSA’s Development staff full-time in 2006, bringing with her a deep sense of connection to the park, people and places that make up this amazing community. Jessica holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Public Relations from Sonoma State University and an A.S. in Forestry with a minor in Interpretation from Reedley College.
