The Clem Miller Environmental Education Center can accommodate up to 80 participants whose leader has attended a Teacher Training Workshop in environmental education conducted by the Center staff. Completion of this training workshop is mandatory for all leaders of groups coming to the Center. Although it’s not required, we encourage you to first attend the annual free Orientation and Tour in the Fall where you can take a tour of the Center and learn about available resources.
The first step in the reservation process is to register for the mandatory Teacher Training Workshop Once the workshop is completed, leaders are eligible to sign up for any available dates at the Center. Reservations are considered complete with a signed contract and deposit. After staying once at the Center, your school will be included in the
annual reservation lottery.
Reservations are required and are available to trained teachers on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made up to 18 months in advance. We will help you plan and design your own environmental education program. 3- or 5-day programs can be scheduled during the months of August, September, November, December, January and February. During October and March through June, we only allow 5-day programs.
For more information on reserving and planning your stay, read the
