Andrea has been working as a naturalist and environmental educator for the past 19 years. She has extensive experience teaching in the outdoors and has comprehensive knowledge of the natural sciences, with special expertise in Botany, Ecology, Marine Biology and Phycology (the study of seaweed). Andrea has been a Board member of the California Native Plant Society and has led Botany and Ethnobotany walks as well as Marine Biology/Tidepool outings for many years. She is a member of the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers Association, loves star-gazing and sharing her knowledge of the night sky with others. She has a Master of Science Degree in Natural History and Environmental Studies and is also a poet, a storyteller and plays the Celtic harp.
