PRNSA assists the Point Reyes National
Seashore by providing quality educational
materials, seminars and classes to park
visitors. Volunteer help is greatly appreciated.
Here are
some of the areas in which PRNSA volunteers
are helpful:
Sales help in stores
Meet the public
and support the park through book sales.
We need volunteers throughout the year
at the Bear Valley Visitor Center, Ken
Patrick Visitor Center at Drakes Beach
and the Lighthouse store.
Point Reyes Field
Seminars
The Field Seminars
program is actively looking for behind-the-scenes
assistance. Help register participants,
assist with care and feeding of the database
and other routine office tasks at our
beautiful PRNSA office next to the Morgan
Horse Ranch.
Clem Miller Environmental
Education Center Facility Maintenance
This rustic environmental
education center in the wilderness is
often in need of repairs or routine maintenance.
Chores and projects range from splitting
wood and turning compost, landscape maintenance,
designing/building new compost bins and
general handy person repairs. Workdays
and times can be arranged for individuals
as well as groups. The education center
is fifteen minutes from the Bear Valley
Visitor Center.
Administrative
and Membership Support
PRNSA can always
benefit from envelope stuffers, administrative
support and pricing and inventory of store
merchandise. Volunteers are also needed
for special members-only events.

Learn about your own backyard, while volunteering for your favorite causes. Get involved with your National Seashore and meet other Bay Area residents who volunteer their time to help educate visitors about park resources. Whether your in the field pulling invasive plants, or talking to folks about Elephant Seals, you're sure to make an impact. Your time is valuable and what better way to spend free time, then donating it to your favorite causes. Whether you help volunteer in our offices, at events, in our bookstores, or for one or more of the Park volunteer groups, you will be making a difference in what we can accomplish.
