Field Institute Summer Camp School Program How To Help Book Store

Volunteer

Your time is a valuable contribution to the park
PRNSA assists the Point Reyes National Seashore by providing member donation allocations to park projects, quality educational materials through our bookstores, and environmental education programming through our Point Reyes Field Institute, and our youth-based Summer Camps and School Programs at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center. Volunteer help is greatly appreciated.

Here are some of the areas in which PRNSA volunteers are helpful:

Sales help in stores
Meet the public and support the park through book sales. We need volunteers throughout the year at the Bear Valley Visitor Center, Ken Patrick Visitor Center at Drakes Beach and the Lighthouse store.

Point Reyes Field Institute
The Field Institute program is actively looking for behind-the-scenes assistance. Help register participants, assist with care and feeding of the database and other routine office tasks at our beautiful PRNSA office next to the Morgan Horse Ranch.

Clem Miller Environmental Education Center Facility Maintenance
This rustic environmental education center in the wilderness is often in need of repairs or routine maintenance. Chores and projects range from splitting wood and turning compost, landscape maintenance, designing/building new compost bins and general handy person repairs. Workdays and times can be arranged for individuals as well as groups. The education center is fifteen minutes from the Bear Valley Visitor Center.

Administrative, Membership and Event Support
PRNSA can always benefit from envelope stuffers, database entry and administrative support. Volunteers are also needed for special members-only events.
