Environmental Education Center Orientation & Tour

The Clem Miller Environmental Education Center is an affordable residential facility where both teachers and students can experience the natural world firsthand and develop a personal awareness and understanding of the environment. Located in a private and peaceful meadow two miles from Limantour Beach, this beautiful facility is an incredible natural and cultural teaching resource surrounded by the vast wilderness of the Seashore. This special Saturday will allow you to tour the facility, pick up ideas for outdoor activities and learn how to plan for an overnight stay at the Center. Come learn how to integrate environmental education into your curriculum in a unique, dynamic way!
There is no fee for the orientation and tour, however

Wild in the Wildnerness: Adventures in Environmental Education
March 17-18, 2007 Saturday • 9 AM - Sunday 4 PM
Free & Required for teachers who are already scheduled at the Education Center
$80 ($75 Members of the Seashore Association)
This fast-paced workshop is curriculum based and compatible with the California State Science Framework. Priority registration is given to teachers whose school is already registered to bring their students to the Center. Those wishing to learn basic environmental education techniques are also welcome on a space-available basis.
