Dinner on the Pacific Plate
Thank you for celebrating Point Reyes National Seashore at our 2017 annual Dinner on the Pacific Plate event. We are fortunate to have such a strong and extensive community of supporters who feel connected to this national park. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, individual donors, and business donors, we raised $300,000, including $87,000 to support our youth scholarship fund.
Funds from Dinner on the Pacific Plate support habitat and trail restoration, wildlife and endangered species protection, volunteer programs, environmental education programs for people of all ages, and scholarships that allow over 3,000 children to cultivate a sense of connection to and understanding of the natural world.
This year's theme of restoration, on the tenth anniversary of the Giacoimini Wetland Restoration Project, is emblematic of these times. As the National Park Service enters its second century amid uncertain federal funding, public support is more important than ever. With your ongoing support we will continue to protect, preserve, and share this inspiring landscape.
