As winter deepens and Solstice approaches, take a long breath before the holidays: join us for this peaceful and focused writing workshop. The theme is solstice, traveling through darkness, turning towards light. We'll walk on beaches and trails, and gather around the fireplace to write new poems—or short prose—our writing informed by wild creatures, starry skies, myth, creeksong—and the rest of life. We'll share food and conversation, read some good literature, and still find time to wander. This class is open to everyone: Patti's intelligent and supportive workshops help both beginning and long-time writers approach poetry as practice; we'll write ourselves deeper into our world. Accommodations included at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center.
