Explore the varied habitats of Point Reyes National Seashore at the peak of the breeding season. Around Bear Valley and the Olema Ridge we will look for resident and neotropical breeding species, including Ash-throated and several other flycatchers, vireos, sparrows and warblers. Osprey, Red-shouldered Hawk and Peregrine Falcon are breeding raptors we’ll seek out. At the headlands, seabirds such as Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemot and cormorants inhabit cliffside perches while migrant loons and scoters are on the move. We will focus on bird behavior and identification in a series of short walks.
